A New Beginning Feb 5th Oct 8th
March 2nd
Currently in Caneel Bay, St John's USVI. We have had a great few weeks just cruising round meeting up with friends, both old & new. We spent a long wekend with John & Don from Afternoon Delight, it was John's Birthday weekend so we had to have several parties in his honour.
Then last weekend we met a boat in St Thomas that we met in Morocco last year, a boat called BeezNeez. So spent a couple of nights getting reaquainted with Pepe & Bear, and swapping stories. The crew of Windancer IV; John, Ziggy, Connor & Jenny arrive this weekend for 2 weeks so we are all very excited, we haven't seen them since they flew back to Canada last summer. In between times, GCSE revision takes priority and is something that takes up far more time & energy than we had planned for but we are hopeful for a positive outcome!
Currently in Anguila, motored down here from the BVI yesterday. Meeting up with Ange & Richard and their friends Charlie and Peter later today. Had a great month hanging around the BVI, just uploaded some new pictures to Picasa. Jordan took a few from the top of the mast which were great. We also exceeded our 30 day limit so had to sail across to the USVI and check in there for a night in order to get an extension to our stay in the BVI! Spent a great night in a lovely bay on St Johns, this was our back garden view!

Back in the BVI.
Well we went to Antigua for Christmas and had a great time, see blog and pictures on picasa, but we are now back in the BVI in our new marina of choice, Soper's Hole.Having finally prised the kids away from Nanny Cay! Dave is back in the UK again on business and I am home alone, trying not to kill my children. See Latest Blog for updates! The Boat is wonderful, we've had a few teething problems as you might expect but overall it has completely transformed the way we live.

A New Beginning
Well after what seems like months of hassle we have finally sold ChilliOyster and bought our new boat, a 50ft Voyage catamaran called "SEAS THE MOMENT", we took possesion of her in mid December and on Dec 20th, we left Sopers Hole in the BVI on our maiden voyage to Antigua to meet friends for Christmas. It was a 180 mile, 30 hour journey, all of it into the wind but we enjoyed every minute of it and arrived in Antigua, relaxed and happy!
We spent Christmas day and Boxing day in Falmouth Harbour, and then sailed round to the a small secluded bay on the south east coast, called Green Island. We have spent the last 2 days here, just swimming and relaxing, the kids have been having a ball playing on all the water toys thaat came with the boat, Jordan has even learned to wake board! Theer are loads of pictures of the new boat and our first Christmas in warmer Climates on Picasa.

Still in Nanny Cay in the BVI. Waiting on news of our pending boat sale. I have been back to the UK and Dave's dad, Ken, flew back out with me, he is now with us for his Christmas break, the prices of flights at christmas were too expensive for him to come out then. All the jobs we wanted to do on Chilli are now finished and we are back to home schooling and relaxing most days, often the former prevents the latter big time! See Latest Blog for more details.
I had my birthday whilst home, bestest bud Marg came up to Solihull with her husband Dave to make sure my day was good as I was away from Dave and the children, and we went out for lunch with my mum and celebrated with a bottle of champagne, sent as a surprise from Ange (Sophistikate). New friends John & Donalda looked after Dave & Kids whilst I was away. Many of the friends who I wanted to see but simply didn't get the time while I was back in the UK have been in touch and offered support. There is rarely a day goes by when I don't think how lucky we are to have and have met such great people, friends really are a true measure of the quality of your life and regardless of the time or distance, I really appreciate ours!

Enjoying the BVI!
We have been in the BVI for nearly a month now, as usual the duality of our lives and the way we just to seem to slip from one way of life to another never ceases to amaze me and life in our canal side apartment seems a long way away once again. We are now settled back into to rising and sleeping with the sun, not worrying about hair or make up (me!) and being comfortable in the same shorts for nearly a week (Dave!). Life is so much slower, you get used to waiting for everything and everybody, something a mulit-tasker like me often struggles with, but I seem to be getting used to it.
Dave's computer broke last week, so having hired a car for the week to get our errands run, we took into to town to find somewhere to get it fixed. The conversation about getting it fixed took 30 mins with 2 people and I'm not sure either of us left the shop with the same view of the conclusion. I might add, it wasn't a technical problem, the hinge on the lid has snapped! 5 days later we have a price for the part, not the right part I might add just something they think will work!! We will take it back in again tomorrow and hope for the best. Anyway we most of the jobs we needed to do, now complete, we have had a little more time to enjoy the island. Dave has updated the blog and I have uploaded more pictures to picasa. I had forgotten how lovely the northern side of the island is.

After a good few days scrubbing, Chilli is starting to look beautiful again.
We are finally sailing again, however recommisioning the boat after a hot summer on the hard has proven alot more difficult than we anticipated and we are currently scrubbing and polishing in temperatures touching 100 degs. I can't believe how hot it is! We have spent the last few days sailing as we had to collect the children from St Thomas on Sunday, so we sailed acrosss then spent a few great days in a quiet bay on St Johns before coming back to Nanny Cay in Tortola. We have uploaded pictures from the last few days - see album sailing again and will put a more detailed update on the Blog asap.

Well after spending the summer in the UK we are finally preparing to go back out to the caribbean and resume our adventures. It has been great being back in the UK for awhile, we went to three weddings, most importantly, Dave's daughter Flick married Matt on June 6th, I have attached a picture of her looking lovely, with her brother Oli, Dave and Grampy Ken.
We have enjoyed catching up with friends and being around when family needed us and probably one of the most exciting things to hapen was we became Grandparents to twins, Arron and Thomas, born to Oli and Lisa on 24th and 25th of August!! I think we are all ready to return to warmer climes.
We have been quite negligent about keeping the website up to date over the last few months, but plan to do what we can to provide at least weekly updates. In addition you can catch up on all of our pictures at http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/ChilliOyster and you can find us on face book by adding Becky Werrett as a friend.
